– Sudan v Swaziland, 26th March

World Cup quarter finalists Ghana must beat Congo in Brazzaville on Sunday to brighten their chances of qualifying for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Black Stars face an unusually tough challenge from Sudan in Group I as they are both tied at the top of the group with four points.

The Nile Crocodiles take on the groups whipping boys Swaziland in Khartoum on Sunday hoping to beat the southern Africans to get the maximum points.

Ghana coach Goran Stevanovic is hoping to hit the ground running in his first official game in charge of the Black Stars and named a strong squad for the trip to Brazzaville.

Sulley Muntari returns to the fold after being ignored since the start of the qualifiers while other key players like Opoku Agyemang return after a long injury layoff.

Kwadwo Asamoah, Andre Ayew are expected to give support to the in-form striking partnership between Dominic Adiyiah and Prince Tagoe in the absence of the suspended Asamoah Gyan.

Kevin Prince Boateng pulled out of the squad at the last minute because of an ankle injury but captain John Mensah says he will be replaced adequately.

We have many players in camp who can play very well in the absence of Kevin so we are fully prepared to face Congo, Mensah told MTNFootball.com.

While the Black Stars are confident of putting up a good show in Congo, the home side have called some of their best players to face the West Africans.

Coach Camille Ngakosso will have captain Christopher Samba of Blackburn Rovers, striker Ibara Franchel, the 2007 CAF Young Player of the Year award winner and Switzerland-based Matt Moussilou.

Sudan are hoping that the players called by coach Camille Ngakosso can give Ghana a hard time while they thrash Swaziland on the same day to move to the top of the group.

With many players from the countrys squad that finished third at the recent CHAN tournament they hosted, coach Abdallah Mazda hopes they have enough firepower to outgun the visitors.

Swaziland are yet to gain a point in the group after their two opening defeats in the qualifiers. The squad first lost 3-0 against Ghana at home before losing 3-1 to Congo Brazzaville away.

Shilangu are currently under caretaker coach Boy Mkhonta and they defeated a select South African side 4-0 in Richards Bays this week and the new boss insists the game has helped to correct some of the mistakes in the team.

We were able to see our mistakes which we have to rectify before our departure. I hope we will play well against Sudan as we need to win this match. I currently have an injury free squad and the games contributed positively to our preparations, said Mkhonta.

Ghana are equal on four points with Sudan at the top of the group, Congo are third with three points while Swaziland are bottom with no point.
