Secretary General, African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP-Group), Dr Mohamed Ibn Chambers, on Sunday endorsed the candidature of Nigeria’s? Aisha Abdullahi,? for the post of Commissioner for Political Affairs of the AU Commission.
Chambers, in an endorsement letter made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) correspondent in Addis Ababa, described Abdullahi as the best candidate for the post considering her vast experience in solving the political crisis in Guinea as Nigeria’s Ambassador to the country.
“I had the distinct pleasure of getting to know and work with Her Excellency, Dr Aisha Laraba Abdullahi, during the Guinean transition as she was the Ambassador of Nigeria to Guinea.
“She worked closely with the ECOWAS Office in Conakry and provided leadership to the ECOWAS Group of Ambassadors there’’, Chambers said.
