North East Leaders To Honour PDP National Chairman

North-East leaders and members of PDP?have concluded arrangement to honour the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, on Saturday at Mayo-Kalaye, the home town of Tukur??

Mayo-Kalaye is located in Jada Local Government Area of Adamawa.

The Chairman of the Main Organising Committee, Amb. Idris Waziri, made this known while briefing newsmen in Yola on Thursday in Yola.

He said that President Goodluck Jonathan would be the special guest of honour while Mr Rotimi Amechi of Rivers and Chairman, Governors’ Forum would be the Chairman of the occasion.?

Other dignitaries expected at the event are; Vice President Namadi Sambo, the Senate President, David Mark, the Speaker, House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal and all PDP Governors, according to Waziri.?

?“Our Chief host is the Governor of Adamawa, Admiral Murtala Nyako.?

“There are two royal fathers of the day: The Lamido of Adamawa, Dr Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha, and the Gangwari Ganye, Alhaji Adamu Sanda”, Waziri added.?

He further told journalists that the grand reception would receive goodwill messages from the six geo-political zones.?

He explained that the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar would present the goodwill message for North East, Sen. Ibrahim Idah for North-West, Sen Barnabas Gemade for North-Central.Prof.Tunde Adeneran would do same?for South West, Chief Tony Anenih for South South and Chief Ojo Maduekwe for South East, he said.?

“Our committee wishes to call on all the citizens of the zone, particularly members of PDP in the zone to come out in full support of the programme.?

“We should demonstrate our well known hospitality to all our visitors and assist in whatever way we can to make the occasion a huge success.”, Waziri urged.?
