Plateau Condemns Fresh Killings In Du Village

The Plateau State government has condemned the attack on Du Village by suspected gunmen, which led to the death of two persons and called for calm from aggrieved youths and women of the area.

The Commissioner for Information and Communications, Pastor Yiljab Abraham, told LEADERSHIP WEEKEND in his office in Jos yesterday that two youths, Pwajok Gyang and Davou Paul were killed by suspected gunmen in Du District of Jos South local government area.

He said the state government was concerned about any situation that could lead to break down of law and order in the state, stressing that any loss of lives in any community within the state was regrettable.

Abraham said the government was working with security operatives to ensure that lasting peace returned to the state.
