Nigeria’s comedian,
Koffi and his group, Workerman Movement will release their debut album
titled ‘All Eyes Open’ in March 2011. The album which will be marketed
by Happy Boys Entertainment will contain 12 songs and 3 bonus tracks.
With singles -‘No Be
Ashy’ and ‘Going Nowhere’ currently receiving airplay, the group also
known as workerholiks, will also release their video titled ‘SPLUFiK’.
According to the
group’s leader Koffi, ‘SPLUFiK’ literarily means splendid, unique and
fantastic, it’s one word to describe finesse, happiness, jolly or all
other words of endearment,exclamation and appreciation”.
Workerman Movement is a hip-hop group made up of 5 individuals- Koffi, Yeankeyz, Outshine, Boomerang and Affroholik.

Paul Play releases two singles

artist, Paul Play Dairo has released two singles titled ‘Say Yes’ and
‘Beautiful Love’, as a special valentine gift to his fans across the
world. Released on Sunday, February 13, 2011, ‘Say Yes’ features
Franchise Celeb Mo’cheddah while the second ‘Beautiful Love’ talks about
how beautiful love is.
Born to a Nigerian
music legend, Late I.K. Dairo M.B.E, Paul Play Dairo made his debut into
the industry in 1999 with ‘Dairo Music Foundation Project’. With five
albums to his credits, the singer won our hearts with a remix of his
father’s hit single ‘Mo So Rire’ and has other hit singles like ‘Happy
Day’, ‘Yes O’, and ‘Angel of my Life’.

Uduak Isong Oguamanam to release new movie
Commonwealth
short-story award winner, Uduak Isong Oguamanam, has concluded plans to
release a comedy movie titled ‘Okon Lagos’. The movie was directed by
Desmond Elliot and features Nollywood actress Monalisa Chinda, Moses
Armstrong, Ime Bishop Umoh, Moses Ephret, and Esther Eyibio.
‘Okon Lagos’ tells
the story of Okon, a down-on-his luck hunter from Akwa Ibom, who comes
to Lagos in search of glory and wealth. Soon, he finds that his crude
ways have no place in the city. Will Okon, like a true hunter, survive
in the concrete jungle that Lagos is or be lost in the wilds forever?.
Uduak Isong
Oguamanam was one of the winners in the 2006 Commonwealth short-story
competition. She holds a first degree from the University of Ibadan, and
a master’s degree from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom.
Uduak has written several short stories and screenplays including the
Emem Isong produced movie- ‘Bursting Out’. Her other screenplays include
‘A Piece of Flesh’, ‘Ekaette’, ‘Edikan’, ‘Timeless Passion’, etc.

Filming begins for the late Dagrin’s biography
Stingomania records began filming for the late Dagrin’s movie titled ‘Ghetto Dreamz’ yesterday Monday February 14.
After various set of
auditions, Stingomania records artist Trybson Dudukoko has been chosen
to play the late Yoruba wordsmith Dagrin in the movie. According to the
producers of the film, Dudukoko passed all the screen test and
requirements to feature as the late rapper. The movie will also features
Nollywood actress, Doris Simeon who plays Dudukoko’s love interest.
The movie which is shot on location in parts of Lagos state is
expected to hit the cinemas in April 2011 in other to coincide with
Dagrin’s first anniversary memorial project. ‘Ghetto Dreamz’ is produced
by Stingomania records and directed by Daniel Ademinokan. The label is
best known for one its acts, Baba Nee who sang the theme song for Funke
Aindele’s hit movie, ‘Omo Ghetto’.
