The gist which is running riot right now in some certain circles in Lagos is that the PDP gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Ade Dosunmu, who is being drawn by the party to unseat the incumbent Governor Fashola of Lagos may just be developing cold feet even before the actual battle begins.

This position which is fast becoming the word on the lips of people in the state is not unconnected to the outcome of debate organised between the two candidates by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce. Fashola who took on the debate like a charging gladiator took no prisoners as he descended on PDP style of governance which he said has been an albatross to Nigerians since they took power at the centre many years ago without anything tangible thing to show for it.

Fashola

Taking on Dosunmu, before the bewilder crowd, Fashola said Lagos would rather “take its destiny its hands” than wait for the PDP led Federal Government which in the last twelve years failed to fix Apapa-Oshodi Express Road, Oworonsoki Express Road, Benin-Ore Express Road and Lagos-Benin Express Road.

Though Dosunmu put up a gallant fight but his muttering of  “I hope you are not going to set me and my brother on collision course with this debate, because before now, I and my brother here have been good friends” each time the organisers dealt a question his way  belied any trace of the fighter’s spirit in him hence the ongoing gist that he may be chickening out so soon.

Hank Anuku’s new found trade?

Just when people are beginning     to think the Nollywood bad-boy turned politician, Hank Anuku, would turn a new leaf at least abandoning his bad-boy picture of a body-hugging T-shirt and powerbike-riding honcho the actor seems to have ingenuously evolved a new style of going back to his old status quo.

Having moved up the ladder of life as a special adviser to Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta state for tourism and entertainment one would have thought the allure and insignia of office would have turned him into a respectable looking individual but gist sieving to the desk of Society Plus has it that the resting actor is back riding his power bikes. The word is that he has formed a sort of association of bike-riders with him as their leader.

The actor has been spotted on several occasions leading a motorcade of bike riders, numbering almost hundred to venues of rallies or political campaigns. What is not clear is whether the actor has found a new racket and whether he is getting paid for his sweat in this regard.
