The Plateau State
Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Resident Commissioner,
Habu Zarma, said on Thursday that the Commission Is “fully ready” to
conduct the April general elections.
Mr Zarma, who
stated this on Thursday at the Jos Civil Society and Media Roundtable
on the April Elections, said all necessary arrangements for the conduct
of the elections have been put in place.
“Already, the
accreditation of local and international observers have since commenced
and I am happy that political parties have signed the code of conduct,”
he said.
Mr Zarma said that the Commission had also displayed the list of all
contestants and also pasted information that will be useful to both the
contestants and the electorate. The Commissioner disclosed that the
deployment of non sensitive materials has also commenced.
