BBA: Saturday Of Nerves And Tears

Nobody envisaged what played out last Saturday. With eight Headsmates up for eviction, high tension was expected but not to the level that played out for viewers of Big Brother Amplified.

The tone for the week was set by the nominations session. Felicia was the only housemate that was not nominated for possible eviction but the nomination of Vina, the Head of House meant that the Malawian purchaser was going to face the inevitable and by the time Vina went for her Save and Swap session, Felicia knew there was no hiding place for her.
The week’s task did little to calm frayed nerves. Saturday night, after the party, the daunting task of going through the eviction was too hard to bear.

Sharon O breaks down

The Ugandan singer was unconsolable as soon as all Headsmates got indoors. It started off unnoticed as she appeared a little bit tipsy but Hanni was the first to respond to the Ugandan’s tears and her continued grip on the mother of one soon caught the attention of Felicia and Millicent. The latter was not interested in consoling her gossip mate as she kept making faces at her.

Even when Vina learnt Hanni a helping hand by trying to talk the blonde out of her fears, Sharon appeared to be only focused on one thing: eviction. Vina‘s promised to play the Jangu exponent’s songs on her radio station, also did little.

Millicent and Felicia cry out

When the camera’s shifted to Millicent and Felicia consoling each other, viewers could understand why the duo were not willing to help out the MFS crew member. As they sat holding bodies in arms, tears flowed freely with Felicia appearing as the one that felt the brunt more. It was understandable because the Malawian knew that this time; she will not be spared the rigours of eviction like the last time.

Vina comes to Felicia’s unending tears

Head of house, Vina soon found herself in a precarious position. Felicia’s tears got to her and she could not help but come to the side of her fellow Headsmate. This was very touchy as Vina, who had swapped the Malawian to save herself, was the same person doing the ‘don’t cry’ talk.

?

Vimbai and Lomwe’s have not been the best of friends but last Saturday with a lot of tears flowing in the house, the duo took time out to catch up on some ‘we’ talk.
