My Career Guide Goes To Labour Room

An educational magazine with the name My Career Guide is set to hit book shelves of libraries and schools.

The Editor-in-Chief and Head of Operations, Engr. Herbert Gana, made this known yesterday when he paid a courtesy call to LEADERSHIP’s head office.

The glossy paged magazine which is a 76-page collection, with its motto reading ‘equipping the next generation’, is expected to guide young adults, especially teenagers in their choice of course of study, careers and professions after secondary school and after their completion of the advised 6-3-3-4 system.

Engr. Gana advised that ‘when making a career or vocational decision or any decision at all, you must be very careful who you listen to and how you listen’, with the hope that the work will serve as a road map for all young adults all through their journeys in life.

He revealed that the inspiration behind the magazine came on the heels of confusion experienced by teenagers who chose courses of study based on the titles that come with them, in order to fit into the society and not minding things like interest, marketability, environment, etc.

He said’ it is behind this backdrop that I have decided to play a role in order to help the Nigerian teenager.’
Contents of the magazine among others include: career expo, beyond secondary school, peak performance features, safety environment health, foundation sports and entertainment, as well as words of wisdom.

The magazine hopes to be quarterly in order to properly fit into the three terms school calendar in Nigeria.
