Ehiosun Now On Bigger Shop Window’

Nigeria international striker Ekigho Ehiosun is now on a bigger shop window after his loan switch to Turkish club Samsunspor, according to his agent.
Samsunspor shelled out 250,000 Euros to Warri Wolves for the all-action striker, who will earn 35,000 Euros as monthly salary and be entitled to a free house and car during his 10-month stint at the club.

The player’s agent, Emmanuel Omijeh, told MTNFootball.com that Samsunspor will be a launch pad for Ehiosun in Europe.
“When he performs well in this club and eventually Nigeria qualify for the Olympics and he makes the team, his rating would surely soar and he will attract bigger clubs in Europe,” said Omijeh, who accompanied Ehiosun to sign the dotted lines in Turkey.

“He also again has the chance to continue to be invited by the Super Eagles which also depends on his performances with Samsunspor. This is our plan for the player and we don’t want to rush things for now.

“The player has the talent and with the support of everybody around him, he will do well in Europe.”
The agent praised Nigeria coach and Warri Wolves chairman, Amaju Pinnick, for facilitating the striker’s transfer.
“Siaisa recommended the player to the club. The club had to seek for clearance as regards the efficiency of the player as a national team player and Siasia gave high recommendations. The club chairman Pinnick was also very proactive to make this happen,” revealed Omijeh, who doubles as the president of University Sports League (USL).

“What most concerned Pinnick is the future of the player. We don’t want Ehiosun to join a team that he would be warming the bench and won’t get the chance to play. We also don’t want a situation where his release for national teams will be a problem hence the need for a cordial relationship with the Turkish club.
“We are not after quick money now because the player is young and has a promising future.” Omijeh said he and the player were well received in Turkey.
“We were warmly received and Ehiosun has vowed to do everything to lift the club,” Omijeh disclosed.
