The Nigeria Premier League (NPL) has announced its Team of the Week after six games in Week 34 across six centres in the country at the weekend.
The Premier League named four personnel from Ocean Boys, two each from 3SC and JUTH while Heartland, Dolphins, Gombe United and Plateau United provided a player each for the team.
Champions in 2006, Ocean Boys got the highest number of players in the team of the week following their feat of ending Dolphins’ 100 per cent home record in this season’s campaign. Ocean Boys head coach, Samson Unuanel is named as the coach of the week for leading his men to their first away point this season.
Goalkeeper Femi Thomas, centre-back Dengo Ebinipre and Ikechukwu Okemiri, all from Ocean Boys, make the team. Others in the team are Chibuzor Okonkwo (Heartland), Victor Ezuruike (Dolphins), John Adada (Juth), Gabriel Adeboye (3SC), Danjuma Abdullahi (Juth), Adamu Mohammed (Gombe United), Kabiru Alausa (3SC) and George Akpabio (Plateau United).
