The trial of Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, the Chief Security officer of late Military ruler General Sani Abacha continued at the Lagos High Court, Igbosere with him playing the videotape of a VHS recording showing the visit of some South-West leaders to Aso Villa.
The video tape clearly showed the two South-West leaders, Late Pa Abraham Adesanya, Bola Ige and others as they were departing a meeting held with General Abubakar Abdulsalami.
In the video, late Adesanya was seen answering a question on the way forward after the death of Chief MKO. “The position is that there will be a government of national unity but not to be headed by Abiola but we need a sovereign national conference to prepare the constitution by which we will be ruled. We are not proposing anything yet,” the late Afenifere leader said.
