WYC: Flying Eagles Down England, Proceed To Quarter Finals

?

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria defeated England by a lone goal in the second round of the World Youth Championship in Colombia.

After an uninspiring first half, the game burst into life shortly after the break. Kayode squared the ball from the left to Egbedi, leaving the 18-year-old with the simplest of tap-ins to give his side the lead.

However, straight from the kick-off, Billy Knott his the bar with a spectacular bicycle kick.

In the end, England were unable to muster up a challenge, leaving their African opponents to march into the quarter finals, while the Three Lions fly back to Britain having failed to score a single goal.

Nigeria will now take on France in the quarterfinal on Sunday.
