Celebrities from all walks of life stormed the Nite Shift Coliseum on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 to witness the 5th edition of the monthly Legend Real Deal Nite, an initiative of the Nigerian Breweries Plc to appreciate and encourage its loyal customers.
It was a night of fun as celebrities and guests were seen on the dance floor entertained by the Shifters Band, scintillating music-mix from the Coliseum Disc Jockey and comic relief from the Master of Ceremony, D.Don.
Speaking during the Legend Real Deal Nite, the Media and Public Affairs Manager, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Mr. Edem Vindah, said that Legend “is using this as a platform to reward and appreciate our numerous consumers and celebrate real men and ladies, at the same time, we giving consumers the opportunity to have a free taste of Legend Extra Stout.
In a chit chat with a cross section of journalists at the all night shindig, the Brand Manager, Legend Extra Stout, Mr. Funso Ayeni, disclosed that the Legend Real Deal Nite is a consumer activation promo where loyal consumers are rewarded with different prizes and a free chilled Legend drink. Thereafter any customer that purchases a bottle of Legend Extra Stout after the first free bottle, gets a raffle ticket which enables such customer to participate in the prize winning lucky dip.
Celebrities who witnessed the event included ace television personality, Mr. Bisi Olatilo; popular sports analyst and TV sports presenter, Mr. Mitchell Obi; Veteran
Actor Taiwo Obileye; Publisher of Fortune & Class magazine Mr. Niyi Akinsiji, Celebrity Pilot, Captain Chris Najoma who also won a prize from Legend and Mr. Sule Abiola, junior brother of the late business mogul and political martyr, Chief Moshood Kashimawo Abiola. There were quite a handful of foreign nationals some of whom were tourists, expatriates and a host of other showbiz personalities.
Age old bearded actor and broadcaster, Taiwo Obileye was more than surprise when his name was picked in the lucky dip as the winner of the star prize for the night. He went home with a high tech Midea Deep Freezer, while Mr. Anselm Onyieuke, a Nollywood actor came second. He went home with a 25KV Tec electricity generating set.
Three other lucky consumers of Legend Extra Stout won in the lucky, three OX giant oscillating standing fan. They are: Obinna Ifunaya, Captain Chris Najoma and Chima Okonkwo, while other guests went home with consolation prizes and branded Legend Stout freebies.
Expressing his gratitude, Obileye exuded, “I am very happy with this prize given to me by Legend Extra Stout.
