Eguavoen Sues For Plan B

Dream Team V coach, Austin Eguavoen has charged his senior national team opposite, Samson Siasia to put in place a virile plan B in case the injury worries among his wards get out of hand.

Eagles are up against the Barea of Madagascar in the 2012 Nations Cup group B qualifier on Sunday at the 22, 000 seats Stade Mahama Sina in Antananarivo.
Five key members of the team has been sidelined due to? injury the latest being Yusuf Ayila, who picked an injury in Tuesday’s evening training at the Abuja National stadium and has been ruled out of competitive game for at least six weeks.

Apparently scared that more players will pick injury as the clock ticks to the crucial encounter, Eguaveon tasked his former teammate to put in place solid contingency plans that will take care of emergencies.

“There is need to put an emergency plan in place, or what I call ‘plan B’ to take care of any unexpected injuries or situations that may arise even at the eleventh hour.

“The scenario is almost a playback of the event that preceded the cancelled Nigeria, Ghana international friendly in London.
“Thank God the match was called off, the result would have been damaging. But the Nations Cup qualifier will hold on Sunday, it is a must win game, nobody will want to take excuses hence the need to put down adequate alternate plan to make room for players who will for one reason or another fail to show up for the match,” he told SuperSport.com.

Eagles are scheduled to leave for Madagascar yesterday afternoon aboard a chartered Air Nigeria flight.
Nigeria are separated from Guinea by three points and the West Africans will entertain third placed Ethiopia in Conakry this weekend.
