Eagles Away Form Is Suspicious – Nsofor

CSKA Moscow and Super Eagles forward, Obinna Nsofor has raised concerns about the Super Eagles away form.
The Eagles have won just one point in two matches in the ongoing African Nations Cup qualifying matches and Nsofor thinks that the problem is from lack of adequate preparations for away games.

Speaking further, Nsofor said that if the preparations for away matches had been perfect, the team would not be struggling now to qualify for the tournament. “You can imagine that against Ethiopia we got to the stadium on the same day we were supposed to play the match.

How would anybody expect us to play at our best? We need to change our approach to matches so that we can do better. The NFF has done that with the Madagascar game by making sure we get to Antananarivo days before the game. The extra days will give us enough time to acclimatize to the weather conditions and we will play together much longer and blend better.”

The Super Eagles have only picked up a draw against Ethiopia and lost away to Guinea in the African Nations Cup qualifiers. The match against Madagascar is extremely vital because, anything short of an outright win will mean the end of Nigeria’s quest to participate in the Nations Cup next year.
