Akpeki disclosed that in realization of Uduaghan’s three-point agenda, the first phase of the 120 units of social housing units in Ogwashi-UKu, Aniocha South Local Government Area, had been completed, adding that plans had been concluded to extend it to all the local government headquarters in the state.

He said that a 30-unit rural house project in Okpara had been completed and sold to the natives while another 32 units of rural housing project in Ozoro were ongoing.

According to the commissioner, the state government has embarked on 21 low and medium housing schemes in the oil producing area while eight are at the various levels of completion.

Meanwhile, residents of Asaba have appealed to Governor Uduaghan to help curb the menace of flooding in the affected areas of Asaba and its environs.

Mr. John Ogeh, resident and landlord in West End, Asaba, expressed worry that with?? the consistent downpour, residents of West End, as well as other affected areas in Asaba, can hardly come or go into their houses as a result of the flooded roads.

Findings revealed that most residents of the area have abandoned their vehicles at their place of work over the difficulties of driving through the flood.
