In a letter of invitation signed by Isiaq Ajibola, MD/COO of the organisation, he was invited based on his strategic position in the media. “Considering your strategic position in the media, we are delighted to invite you as special guest/player on that day.”
Mr Ishiekwene will join other notable corporate executives and veteran golfers including president of the senate, David Mark who will tee-off the tournament. ?

The one day tournament is an annual event organised by DAILY TRUST MEDIA. In its 2nd edition, it is aimed at bringing together top golfers in the nation for corporate fellowship, bond and network.?
Daily Trust Managing Director, Isiaq Ajibola told LEADERSHIP SPORTS exclusively, that sports is part of the company’s socio-economic responsibilities which includes giving scholarships to university undergraduates and digging of boreholes for impoverished communities around the country. According to him, the notion that golf is only for the elderly is wrong, insisting that the younger generation can find it very satisfying and rewarding.

The first edition of the tournament was held at the Kano Golf Club in Kano and had in attendance, the emirs of Dutse, Suleja and Kazaure, members of the IBB Golf Club, Abuja, as well as the Taiwanese Ambassador to Nigeria. Tee-off time is 7am.
