As part of its resolve to treat every customer as unique, Sterling Bank is partnering with Phebean Films in collaboration with Paradise Entertainment, Davis Media Group and Tracey Moore bring to the viewing public ‘The Spirited Actor”

The Spirited Actor is the search for the next African Hollywood star. The programme expresses a unique opportunity for African actors to exhibit their talents in front of film industry professionals from Hollywood. Twelve(12) aspiring actors narrowed down from a field of thousands from Ghana and Nigeria will engage in a series of vigorous acting challenges in New York City. The last two successful actors will then be flown from New York City to Hollywood, California where the next African Hollywood Star will be determined.

This 13-week television event will be broadcast on both satellite and terrestrial networks in the UK, USA, and various platforms across the African continent. The winner of the competition will star in a feature film alongside Morris Chestnut.

Representing Nigeria are the following actors: Aisha Shaba, Franklin Buchi, July Izugbara, Tunji Aderibigbe, Edehi Samuel, Nike Odetola and their Ghanaian counterparts Marie Humbert-droz, Umar Krupp, Emma Ewurebena, O.B Onkansah, Semira Adams and King Jo Otsiman.

The audition process took place way back in August 2011 with the grand Finale show in Accra Ghana, where 20 finalists from Nigeria and Ghana were narrowed down to 10 actors from both countries. Due to the talent level exhibited on stage that night the Judges had an extremely difficult task of narrowing down the finalist to 10, they settled for 12. The show will begin its
On-air premiere soon and run for 13 weeks. The audience can expect premium level television programming with lots of engaging twist and turns and an A-list of actors, directors and writers.

Casting directors from Hollywood will make appearances throughout the programme. The viewing public will also be given unprecedented access through discussion boards and social media outlets; an insider account into the programme and opportunities to play alongside the participants to win various prizes throughout the competition. It promises to be a thrilling 13 weeks of non- stop superb performance.
