Kogi Guber: Middle Belt Group Endorses Audu

The Middle Belt Youth Democratic Forum(MBYDF) has said the emergence of Chief Henry Ojuola, a member of Kogi State House of Assembly as running mate to Prince Abubakar Audu has brightened the chances of the Action Congress of Nigeria(ACN) to win the forthcoming December 3, 2011 governorship poll in the state.

Leader of the group, Mr. Gyan John Pam, who stated this while speaking with journalists in Abuja, said with the combination of Audu and Ojuola flying the ACN ticket, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will suffer colossal defeat at the poll.

Extolling the virtue of Chief Ojuola, who is representing the Yagba East constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Pam admitted that the quest to clinch the Lugard House was a concluded issue.

According to Pam, the journey to rescue the Middle Belt region from the retardation and dehumanisation brought by the PDP administration, as well as cutting off its evil clutches which tied down development and growth of the region must be concluded.

Promising to rubbish the ruling party’s rigging machinery, Pam called on the good people of Kogi State to rise and liberate the state from the control of misrule and abject poverty which characterised it in the last eight years.

According to him, “This election is the beginning of the elimination of PDP’s hold to states in the region. We earnestly yearn for a change.? And we will use the election in Kogi State as the test case to returning the region to the path of evolution.

“We are witnessing the achievements recorded by the ACN in the various states under its control and we in Kogi State in particular and Middle Belt in general cannot close our eyes to the dividends of democracy as currently being enjoyed by these states.”
