NCWS Backs Audu’s Wife For Kogi Guber

As the race for the Lugard House in Lokoja, Kogi State, heats up among contenders from various political parties in the state, the Nigerian Council of Women Societies (NCWS) has declared its supports for the former first lady of Kogi State, Mrs Aisha Audu-Emeje.

Aisha Audu-Emeje who runs as the flag bearer of Justice Party (JP) is a member of the Board of the Alliance of Nigerians in Diaspora (ANID) and an erstwhile wife to the former Kogi State Governor, Prince Abubakar Audu, who is running for governor on the platform of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).

Declaring the support of the group in at a workshop yesterday, president of the NCWS, Mrs Nkechi Mba, pledged to mobilise women to actualise the aspiration of the JP governorship candidate.

Mrs Mba also said that it was imperative for all women to identify with a female candidate, and emphasized the urgent need to accommodate women in the polity
