Kogi Poll: We’ll Beat PDP Again – Ocholi

The standard bearer of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in Kogi State, Chief James Ocholi (SAN), has expressed confidence that the ruling People Democratic Party (PDP) will be dislodged in the forthcoming governorship election, just like it happened in 2003.

Addressing party supporters in Mopa, headquaters of Mopa/Muro local government, in the western flank of the state, Ocholi stated that time had come for people to opt for a change, not party.

He therefore urged the people of Okunland to take the lead, just as they demonstrated in the April election, describing them as highly enlightened people.

He added that since the change they all made in 2003 did not take them anywhere, it had become imperative for them to make another change, an intelligent one, so as to secure the future of the state.

He decried the deplorable condition of the only federal road that passes through the community and promised to construct it in view of its strategic importance to the people of the area in particular, and the entire people of the state.

The CPC candidate stressed that since the federal government was not prepared to construct the road, there was nothing wrong in the state government constructing it and subsequently retrieving its funds later.
