NDLEA arrests House-Wife with 1.4 tonnes of Indian hemp

The Kano state Command of the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), yesterday announced the arrest of a 23- year old house wife, Hassana Usman of Jambulo quarters for allegedly being in possession of over 1.463 tons of Indian hemp.

Alongside Hassana, the agency had also paraded Hassana Usman, Abdullahi Abdulrazak, Adeniyi Musa, Anthony Obi, Mohammed Sani, Christopher Nwakanma, and Aminu Ismail for similar charges on various drug related offences.

At a press briefing yesterday, the State Commander, Sumaila Ethan said “in the last two months, the command had arrested a total of 237 suspects and seized hard drugs weighing 2.241 tons comprising of cannabis sativa, cocaine, heroine and psychotropic substances.”
