The State of insecurity in the Nigeria constituted a great threat not only to her peace and unity but also to the efforts of the founding fathers that ensured her independence and corporate existence.
The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Mohammed Dikko Yusuf, made this assertion at the weekend while speaking at the maiden Chief of Air Staff Awards Night 2011 held at Air Force Base, Abuja.
At the occasion, some officers, men, women of the force who distinguished themselves in the course of their duties in the last one year were rewarded and commended.
He said that Nigeria was passing through an extra-ordinary time when some events that were ’’threatening to shake the foundation laid by the founding fathers of this great nation are happening”.
