PDP Will Become A Maximum Prison By 2015 –Sekibo

The Gubernatorial candidate of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in Rivers State, Dr. Abiye Sekibo has said the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will become a maximum security prison before the 2015 general election in the country.

Sekibo, who made this statement in a chat with journalists in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, observed that the PDP is already a prison, as those inside the party do not have the powers to question the actions of their elected governors who are not performing.

“The PDP is a prison because when you are inside, you lack the powers to question bad programmes and policies of those in government. Few of us who left the prison have found freedom and can speak out on bad governance in the country.

“As we build up to 2015 general elections, the PDP will become a maximum security prison. I appeal to those who have the interest of the country and Rivers State in particular to leave the PDP now,” he said.

The former minister of Transport said recent events in the country has shown that an ACN-led government will do better than the present PDP-led government, adding that the opposition party will continue to stand on the side of Nigerians.

Sekibo accused the Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi-led administration in Rivers State of playing politics with the security of lives and property of the people of the state, saying the government was not interested in finding solution to the rising rate of insecurity in the state.
