The Federal Government has declared as public holidays Monday and Tuesday, December 26 and 27 respectively, in order to allow Christians commemorate the anniversary of the birth of Jesus Christ.
According to a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Interior, Alhaji Sheidu Ozigis, the Federal Government wished all Nigerians peaceful and hitch-free celebrations, urging them to pray fervently for enduring peace, unity and progress of the country.
