The Court of Appeal in Yola has upheld the verdict of the tribunal that declared Governor Danbaba Danfulani Suntai of Taraba State as the winner of the April 2011 governorship election.?
Delivering the judgement in Yola , Justice S.S Alagorah said that both the petitions filed by the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) and the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) against the election of Governor Suntai were incompetent. The court therefore, struck out the two appeals.
Reacting to the judgement, Governor Suntai said the victory would spur him to do more for the people of the state.
