The traditional ruler (Ponzhin Bin) in limun village, Bwarat district of Lang tang North Local Government Area of Plateau State, chief Mozie mamzum at the weekend, paraded three rape suspects, including a 55-year old man, Mallam Usman Maishanu
Mr. Mozie told the villagers that Mallam Usman had sexual intercourse with the victim, a 10-year-old girl on more than three occasions, before he invited his two friends, Joseph Dull and Nanpon Wuyep to joint in this last act that backed-fired.
Police sources at Limun Police out post confirmed the arrest of the trio shortly after the parade exercise which took place at the hilly palace of the tradition ruler.
According a senior police officer, Christian Erasmus, the suspect in his confessions said he gave the little girl the sum of N20 each time he had sexual intercourse with her.
The suspect, who is a security guard at Limon Primary School, Tudun Wada, was said to have lured the victim into the classroom with his two other accomplices where they had serially raped her before a passer-by, Nadom Nunfa caught them in the act.
Similarly, Mohammed Ado of the same area was arrested for raping a- 9- year-old-girl.
According to sources, he asked the little girl to fetch water for him and ensured that she took it into? his room, thereafter he was said to have followed and pushed her to his sitting room, where he? had sexual intercourse with her.
