Boko Haram: Suswam Solicits NULGE’s Cooperation

Benue State Governor, Mr. Gabriel Suswam has solicited for the maximum cooperation of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) to enable the Federal Government tackle the? activities of Boko Haram in the country.

Suswam, who made the appeal yesterday while receiving the Benue state chapter of NULGE, who paid him a visit, said the nation was faced with insecurity challenges and that it required the effort of all and sundry to find lasting measures that would curb it.

The governor, who is also the life patron of NULGE, described the destructive activities of the sect as satanic and wicked, and stated? that destroying lives and property of citizens was very inimical to rapid development in the country.

While making reference to the recent bomb blasts that claimed many lives in Kano, Suswam assured that the federal government was trying its best in fishing out those behind the heinous crimes and that modalities to prevent further occurrence of such act was on going.

He posited that the dealings of the Boko Haram group was not in any way religious, as according to him, they were killing both Christians and Muslims as well as pagans, but urged Christians in the country to be security alert? in order to detect those who may attend church services with the intention of causing mayhem.
