A United States citizen kidnapped by gunmen in Delta State has returned to Georgia after being held captive for a week.
Tamara Lane says her brother-in-law William Gregory Ock arrived in Atlanta on Sunday morning. The 50-year-old was kidnapped on Jan. 20.
Lane said that a big crowd greeted Ock at the airport and that he “looks great.”
She says the family wanted to thank people for their prayers and thoughts.
The attack occurred outside a bank in Warri. A police spokesman said the gunmen attacked Ock as he came outside, shooting his police escort to death before abducting him.
