Police Arrest Suspected Robbers In Ondo

The measures taken by the Ondo State Police Command on crime fighting in the state has started to yield positive result, following the arrest of no fewer than 10 suspected armed robbers and cultists operating in the State. The State Commissioner of Police, Mr Sani Magaji,? said the suspects were apprehended in various parts of the State. ?

The police boss,? stated that three of the suspects Kayode Felix, Akilo Ifedayo and Mukaila Raji were robbers that had been terrorizing Ore area and its environs.

Magaji revealed that the suspects confessed to having perpetrated robbery operations in Gbogi town, Edo state, Lipakala, in Ondo town and Adaja village and other communities in Ore area.

The Police commissioner added that the Ondo Division of the police also arrested Akinyele Ebunoluwa, Dayo Akinkuroye, Tolulope Adegbulupe and Ismail Ado in connection with a clash of armed robbers and cultists. Items recovered from the suspects, according to the police commissioner, include locally made pistols, dummy pistol, big sledge hammer, iron bar and live cartridges.
