hairmen of Local Councils in Ondo State have joined various groups in the state calling on the people to support the state Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko for a second term in office.
The council leaders under the aegis of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) threw their weight behind the second term ambition of the governor after their monthly meeting in Akure, the state capital yesterday.
Though, Mimiko is yet to officially declare interest to run for the second term, the council chairmen noted that the achievements of the Governor were clear testimonies that he deserved another term.
The chairmen said the defection of some members of the party to other political parties would not affect the chances of Governor Mimiko at the polls.
