LAGBUS To Get More 500 Buses

Lagos State Government is to add 500 buses to the fleet of its mass transit luxury buses, LAGBUS, in the next eight months to reduce transportation problems of the state’s residents.

Mr Babatunde Disu, the Managing Director of the Lagos Asset Management Ltd., Operators of LAGBUS, made this known on Monday in Lagos.

The Lagos Asset Management Ltd. is owned by the state government.

“In the next six to eight months, we should be getting close on 500 additional buses on the streets of Lagos State.

“Our governor is very interested in the well being of the people of Lagos State,” he said.

Disu said that the National Union of Road transport Workers (NURTW) would soon introduce some buses that would operate under LAGBUS on some routes.
