Not fewer than 735 delegates will decide who among five aspirants will fly the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s flag for the July 14, 2012 gubernatorial election in Edo State.
They are made up of 159 statutory delegates and 576 ad-hoc delegates who were elected last? Saturday at the statewide party congresses.
The State Publicity secretary of the? PDP,? Mr. Mathew Urhoghide? disclosed this.
Urhoghide addressing newsmen said, “Now that we are gradually coming? towards having our governorship nomination or primary? we intend it to be very transparent”.
Furthermore he said: “we intend to make it acceptable by virtue of all the procedures that we are going to put in place so that those party members who are participating in them will know that indeed the state executive and the entire leadership of this party is sincere and honest.”
