Justice Lawal Gummi, Chief Judge of the FCT High Court, has appointed Justice Folasade Ojo as the vacation judge during the Easter break.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the FCT High Court will proceed on Easter break from Friday, April 6, to Monday, April 16.
Ojo's appointment is contained in a letter with reference number FCT/JD/CJ 185/II/252, signed by Gummi and made available to NAN in Abuja on Friday.
The appointment, Gummi said was pursuant to Order 47, Rule 4 (1) of the Civil Procedure Rules.
He said that Ojo of Court 18 of the Maitama High Court complex would dispose of certain urgent matters brought before it, which can not wait till the resumption of the court.
The letter read: “The appointment of Justice Ojo is to ensure disposal of urgent matters that may come up during the break.’’
The other 37 judges will resume sitting on Monday, April 16. (NAN)
