Edo State Deputy Governor, Dr Pius Odubu has said that the people of the state will defend? their votes in the forthcoming July 14th governorship election even as he warned that the A C N are battle ready to confront election riggers who are plotting to undermine the will of the people.
Odubu,? spoke shortly after he was officially unveiled by Oshiomhole as his running mate at the secretariat of Oshiomhole’s Campaign Organization at the weekend in Benin.
His nomination has finally put to rest the crisis that had rocked the party over the choice of deputy governor for the July 14th governorship election.
?Excited Odubu while expressing appreciation to the Comrade governor and the party described his nomination as an honour,? “ It is a sign of honour? to be considered by a man that is all encompassing like the comrade governor to be the running mate.? I’m highly elated, I give God the glory,? I want to thank him and to also tell you that I’m loyal to the comrade governor, my commitment to the success of the party is total.
