Eagles Jet Out For Egypt Friendly In Dubai

The Super Eagles of Nigeria yesterday afternoon jetted out of Nigeria for the all important international friendly match against the Egyptian national team in Dubai. They are 21 in number and goalkeeper and skipper Chigozie Agbim leads the strong home based side. The high-profile international friendly match against the Pharaohs of Egypt will come up this week Thursday.

Leading the team from the technical crew is assistant coach, Daniel Amokachi who is standing in for Head Coach Stephen Keshi who is holidaying in the United States of America. Keshi will however join the Eagles in Dubai today. The list consists of two goalkeepers, six defenders, seven midfielders and six strikers.

The team left Nigeria aboard an Ethiopian Airline aircraft and will stop over in Addis Ababa before another three-hour flight to Dubai.

There is Agbim, of CAF Confederation Cup campaigners Warri Wolves, and Daniel Akpeyi as goalkeepers, with defenders Azubuike Egwueke, Papa Idris, Juwon Oshaniwa, Hamed Adesope, Godfrey Oboabona and Nura Mohammed.

Left-footed Ejike Uzoenyi of Enugu Rangers, voted Man of the Match in the 2013 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda in Kigali at the end of February, leads the midfielders that also include Bartholomew Ibenegbu and Gabriel Reuben.
