Osun State governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola has awarded road construction? contracts worth N17.5 billion to Hunge International Limited for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of six selected roads across the state.
According to the governor, the contractor is ready to finance the project on behalf of the state government over a short period of time, adding that the contractor was mobilized with 15 per cent of the contract sum.
While signing the contract paper on behalf of the governor, the special adviser to the governor? on works and transport, Engineer Oladepo Amudah, noted that the upgrading and the reconstruction of the roads would be completed within 18 months.
Aregbesola disclosed that when the roads are completed, they would facilitate the socio-economic development of the state, noting that the reconstruction of the road would link Osun with Ogun State and will allow people to go to Lagos State easily.
The roads are Odeyinka to Orile Owu-Ayegunle Gbongan, (Osogbo/Gbongan road junction – Odeyinka-Orile Owu-Araromi Owu Ayegunle road, Ijebu-Jesa-Iloko Iwaraja road, Ijebu-Jesa-Iloko Ijesa-Ilesa/Akure express road.
Others are Ijeda-Ijesa-Erinmo Ijesa road and Igbajo-Oke-Irun-Iresi
