I’ve Forgiven Suicide Bomber – Father OF Kaduna Blast Victims

In a rare show of human milk of kindness, a father who lost one of his children and the other critically injured in the Easter Sunday morning suicide bomb attack in Kaduna has declared that he has forgiven the attacker who killed his children.

Alhaji Musa Haruna, the village head of Kabala Costain, and the victims’ father made the declaration when? LEADERSHIP correspondents paid him a condolence visit.

Haruna, the village head of Kabala Costain, Kaduna,? lost his son, Ibrahim Musa while another son, Mohammed Aliyu Zakari,? was critically injured during? the attack which reportedly claimed the lives of over 30 persons and injured many more.

According to Haruna,? one of the children who lost his life was a medical student at the? Bayero University, Kano while the other worked with the National Board of Technical Education, NBTC.

When LEADERSHIP got to the residence of the bereaved, there were mourners who gathered to pay respect to the dead and the one lying critically in the hospital. The family members lamented how their sons became victims of the blast.

Alhaji Haruna,? who was still in a mourning mood,? pointed out that there is no religion which gives adherents permission to take lives.

He said, ‘It is really unfortunate that these things are happening. “The one that died is working with the NBTE and the other one in critical condition in ABU teaching hospital, Shika is a medical student of the Bayero University, Kano.? I cannot take the attackers as good Christian or Muslims, they are not I know there is a judgment day and one day each of us will answer his deeds. There is no religion that preaches violence, but I forgive them, its left for them to repent.”

He also narrated how the children became victims of the attack, saying that, “my son with his junior brother went to Tudun Wada to collect some rock carpet . On their way they followed Bashama Road through Sardauna Crescent and while on their way,? the explosion hit them. So,? my senior son,? Ibrahim Musa, died instantly on? the spot and his junior brother Mohammed Aliyu Zakari was taken to St. Gerrad Hospital . He was thereafter transferred to Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Shika upon doctor’s recommendation. He is responding to treatment.”??
