Supreme Court Hears Anambra North Senatorial Tussle May 17

The controversy over who is to represent the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the appeal by Prince John Emeka, challenging the propriety of the party’s authentic winner of the Anambra North Senatorial poll yesterday stalled definite hearing of the appeal before the Supreme Court.

Emeka is asking the apex court to set aside the verdict? of the Court of Appeal in Abuja which declared another PDP candidate, Lady Margery Chuba-Okadigbo, as? winner of the April 16, 2011 senatorial? poll, and declare him as the authentic winner.

The development prompted the apex court to set up a five man panel of the led by Justice Chukwuma Christopher Eneh? while adjourning the matter till May 17, 2012.

The apex court also ordered the PDP to put its house in order and clarify who between its former Legal Adviser, Chief Olusola Oke and Mr. Uche Emeka, should represent it? in the appeal.
