One person yesterday lost his life in an auto crash at Zariagi village, along the Lokoja-Abuja Highway.
LEADERSHIP gathered that the accident occured at about 5:30 pm when a Toyota bus with registration number XR 146 SMK had a tyre burst and in the process somersaulted, killing one person on the spot and injuring 14 others.
Michael Olapade,the state sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission, who confirmed the accident attributed it to over speeding.
He explained that 18 people were involved in the auto crash, adding that 14 people were injured while one person died.
The sector commander said that the injured victims have been taken to the FRSC clinic at Zariagi and Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja, while the corpse of the departed was deposited at the Federal Medical Centre.
