Osun Approves N18m For Overseas Training Of Health Workers

As part of its effort to improve the health condition of the people of Osun State, the state government has approved overseas training for its health workers to expose them to modern-day health care practices.

The state government has also committed N18million to the overseas training programme for its health professionals,

The State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Temitope Ilori, who gave the hint while speaking with newsmen in Osogbo, the state capital, stated that the overseas training programme will be for doctors and nurses in the service of the state.

According to the Commissioner, the training programme will take place at the University of Magdeburg Teaching Hospital in Germany.

She then urged the beneficiaries of the training programme to be good ambassadors of the state while in Germany and shun any act capable of tarnishing the good image of the state.
