A 35-year-old man, Prosper Oguchi, was on Friday arraigned before an Apapa Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, for allegedly having unnatural carnal knowledge of 11-year-old boy.
Oguchi of no fixed address is facing a one-count charge of unnatural carnal knowledge.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Cpl. Friday Inedu, told the court that the accused on Dec. 6, 2011 at 4th Ave., ‘E’ Close, House 7, Festac Town, Lagos,? lured the boy (names withheld) and sexually assaulted the victim through his anus.
“Oguchi, forcefully had unnatural sexual assault on the boy through his anus,” the prosecutor said.
He said the offence contravened Section 259 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Lagos State, 2011.
Chief Magistrate Amos Adeyemi granted the accused bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum.
Adeyemi directed that the surety should show evidence of tax payment to the Lagos State Government.
The case was adjourned till May 23 for further hearing.
