Men of the State Security Service (SSS) in Kebbi State yesterday arrested two men with 260 cartons of illicit medicines, Totulin syrup, worth N6 million at the premises of Cambridge Nursery School in Birnin Kebbi.
This was disclosed to the press by the Director State Security Service (SSS), Kebbi State, Alhaji Ibrahim Katsina.
The men were arrested while offloading the cartons of the drugs from the truck for onward distribution to their agents in the state.
One of the culprits, Zaiyanu Mohammed, from Birnin Kebbi said: “Actually, as we were loading the drugs into the vehicle, security operatives just clamped on us. I want to tell you that I’m not the business of selling drugs; the drugs belong to my boss.”
Parading the two culprits before the Deputy Governor Alhaji Ibrahim Aliyu and the press at the premises of SSS in Kebbi,? the Director of SSS in the state Ibrahim Katsina applauded the public? for cooperating with the security operatives, saying, “if the society is alive to its duties, the rate of crime will decline.”
