Anenih: I’ll Reply Oshiomhole’s With PDP Victory

The former Chairman, Board of Trustees (BOT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Tony Anenih, has said he would? only reply the abuses allegedly hurled at him by the Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, by removing him from office at forthcoming July 14 governorship poll in the state.

??????? Anenih made this statement?? during a stakeholders’ meeting of the PDP leadership held at his Benin City residence at the weekend.

???? The meeting had in attendance some members of the party’s national leadership, including the Deputy National Chairman, Dr. Sam Jaja; National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metu; National Women Leader, Kema Chikwe; National Organising Secretary, Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha; Special Adviser to PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Ahmed Gusau, and National Director of Mobilisation, Mr. Andrew Musa.

??? The party leaders’ meeting with Anenih and the leadership of the PDP in Edo State was a follow-up to the meeting by the party leaders in the state with President Goodluck Jonathan penultimate Sunday night in the Presidential Villa.

??? The national leadership of the party reaffirmed its readiness to join forces with the Edo State PDP ahead of the July 14 governorship election to ensure victory for the governorship candidate, General Charles Airhiavbere (rtd).

??? In a rare comment on the conduct of Governor Oshiomhole, especially since the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) began its? rallies at the local government headquarters which have been telecast live on AIT, Anenih said, “People have been saying a small ‘boy’ is? abusing you; why don’t you reply him?

?? “I said to them that if a mad man is running and a sane man runs after him, people will say two of them are mad.”

???? He asserted that rather than trade words with Oshiomhole, the PDP would reply him and the ACN through the ballot box with an overwhelming? victory at the oncoming governorship election.
