Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has commended President Goodluck Jonathan on the renovation work at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport.
This was contained in a press release signed by the chief press secretary to the speaker, Mr James Ojo.
The speaker, who was in Kano at the weekend, said that after inspecting the on-going work at the airport on Saturday, lauded the commitment of the Federal Government to renovate the airports describing it as timely.
According to him, when the renovation is completed, activities at the airport will receive a boost, and urged the people of Kano and environs to make maximum use of it.
He also expressed happiness with the quality of work carried out by the contractor and urged the supervising agency not to compromise standards.
Conducting the Speaker round the airport, Regional General Manager (North) of Federal Airport Authority, Mr Ali Nock assured that the completion date would be adhered to.
