Part of the? official residence of the governor of Kaduna State, Mr. Patrick Yakowa? was? yesterday gutted by fire, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.
NAN reports that the fire gutted part of the waiting room of the governor’s house destroying the air conditioner and a few effects.
The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the governor on Media, Mr. Reuben Buhari, confirmed the incident and said that the fire was as a result of electrical fault caused by power fluctuation.
He said that fire fighters, assisted by officials of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), immediately put out the fire.
“Everything is now completely under control and the governor is continuing with his official duties.
“The governor commended the staff and officials of fire service for successfully putting out the fire,’’ Buhari said.
