The Niger State capital, Minna will witness hundred of polo lovers from all over the federation for this year’s 2012 polo tournament organised by the Polo Federation of Nigeria.
This year’s event according to the secretary organizing committee, Mohammed Mahmoud Ndazuru, the tournament will witness the convergence of professionals. He said: “We are going to have festival of professional players from many clubs that will entertainment the fans.”
Ndazuru added that they are making sure the Minna polo tournament experiences participating teams go home with a new experience as the club has perfected plans for a befitting tourney. “This year’s tournament will be a new experience as many young and talented will be given opportunity to participate.” He explained.
The publisher of Polo and Events Magazine said high placed individuals who have traditional ties with the Minna polo fiesta are going to be part of this year’s event. They include former President, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, former Head of State, General Abubakar Abdulsalami, Governor Babangida Aliyu of Niger State, General M.I Wushishi, traditional rulers and a host of others.
