A chieftain of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Lawal Shuaibu has accused the Goodluck Jonathan administration of being incapable of leading the nation.
Speaking exclusively to leadership SUNDAY in the party’s headquarters in Abuja yesterday, the national secretary of the party said ”, I assess the Goodluck Jonathan administration below average because while Goodluck Jonathan was campaigning at 2011,it is on record, apart from fresh air, he did not promise anything to Nigerians.
Nigerians cannot hold him responsible for anything because he did not promise them anything apart from fresh air and I wonder who has control over fresh air in this country. In any case, look at how Nigerians are suffocating now, where is the fresh air? What is he doing? The government is not doing anything”
According to him, “you could feel that there was a government in place when Obasanjo was in power, you will know there was somebody in charge. I don’t feel that there is a government in place because things are just happening in this country and there doesn’t seem to be any solution. They just sit down and guess and from there, take action.?
The only thing they throw out is threat, before the end of June, Boko Haram will be history. But June has passed and we are still battling with boko haram. The president made that statement in front of the international community. It wasn’t a local affair, and he said it outside the boundary of this country. Now what does that tell you, that he has exposed his incapacity”.
On the ACN, ANPP and CPC merger, Lawal Shuaibu admitted that, Something is happening but that they don’t want it to be in the press because the previous attempt in 2011 was scuttled by the media.accodring to him, the? Media were reporting things that they never knew happened and that was the reason why? everybody became angry and the thing was scuttled.
