Insecurity: Northern Governors In All-Night Meeting

Governors of the nineteen northern states under the auspices of the Northern States Governors Forum (NSGF) met in Abuja last night to further deliberate on the prevailing situation of insecurity in the North as well as the constitution review.

The meeting which started at about 9:30pm was presided over by the forum’s chairman and Niger State governor Muazu Babangida Aliyu.

Sources at the meeting, which took place at the Niger State Governor’s Lodge, Asokoro, told LEADERSHIP as at press time, that virtually all the governors were in attendance.

A communiqué is expected at the end of the meeting today.
